Now not all my trophty and other stuff been back up, I can simply change the PS3 hard drive 40GB to the 500GB to download alll the game, music, and Picture. is compatible to the PS3 and all of it's files. I requires no formatting and it comes with the root files (photo, music, game, video, etc folders) necessary to immediately copy data to and from the PS3. It can also be used on your PC, TV, printer, etc and can become your main external hard drive for transport of data or for backups. <br /> <br />The main selling point or appeal of this drive is currently it is the ONLY pre-formatted external hard drive available in Fat 32. All others must be modified and formatted, which can take time and require special programs that aren't 100% reliable. Although it is a bit more expensive than other external drives it saves you the agony and trouble of having to partition and format your new drive to use it with the PS3.
